1 Year Goal:

God’s Haven Transitional Housing for Women
In past years we were blessed with the use of two, 3 bedroom, 1 bath houses where we offered transitional housing to women and children. We held bible study in each of the houses nightly and we taught them the healing power of our loving Savior. In addition, we provided food, clothing, and other necessities, as well as, transportation to and from their employment. Sadly those homes are no longer available for or use and our goal over the coming months is to purchase another property so that we can begin offering these services to homeless women and children again.

2 Year Goal:

Self-Sustaining “Life Training” Center
Currently our boys and girls community center (Monday Night Madness) meets at New Horizon Community Center , 3565 Wheatley St., Jackson, MS.  We are grateful for the use of their facilities, however it was offered to us as a tempoary home to this ministry. To complete the full vision of God’s Haven we will require a classroom type set up where we plan to expand what we offer to include after school tutoring, music classes, sports activities for children, etc. In our expansion, we plan to offer adult classes as well, such as life skill/job training, literacy classes, money management; and of course, Bible classes (including mentoring and discipleship training).

5 Year Goal:

24 Hour Emergency Housing
In addition to the assistance mentioned above, we would provide emergency shelter for homeless men/women/children, 24 hour security, 3 meals a day, assistance in finding employment, and most importantly spiritual guidance. We would also work with other service providers in the Jackson Metro area to arrange assistance for those suffering from substance abuse/ mental illness. In emergency housing, residents would be allowed to stay based upon their willingness to work within the facilities and seek employment.
